We have extrapolation techniques to go from micro to macro, but can we go reverse? Is there any statistical tool or simulation model to achieve such data? Kindly contribute your innovative suggestions. Good day!
Use Monte Carlo simulation, to scale up the data from the data you have. If you have the distribution parameters and you know how your data is distributed then you can use MC simulation to get estimates of your Yields etc in other situations.
Say you know the Yields of 5 fields and you want the Yield of a different number of Fields you would use the distribution parameters you have and simulate for the Yields you want.
I Guess your recommendation is for data extrapolation. I need to downscale data, not extrapolate. I have yield data for district. So my question is that can I downscale this data to get village level yield (villages of the same district)?
