I am trying to prepare CuMoO4 by solid state method (CuO+MoO3 heated at 650 C for 12 hrs), But unable to get green color (alpha phase). ?

preparation method is as follows: Grinded CuO+MoO3 for 30 minutes and made pellets(pressure 6-8 ton). Sintered at 650 degree C for 12 Hrs. It is showing brown color only. I am expecting green color with alpha phase. If anyone prepared the same compound, please explain me what can be the mistake happened.
