I am trying to do 5'-RACE PCR for virus with negative sense RNA. Final PCR product is shorter in length. What could be the possible reasons for this?

I am using Thermofisher 5'-RACE PCR kit. In troubleshoot guide, the reason for incomplete sequence could be due to non-specific binding of AAP in poly-C rich region interior to end of RNA. However, there is no such region.
