This issue usually arises from poor meshing. I recommend you check the mesh quality before running the simulation using verify mesh: Mesh\verify. Usually at this stage abaqus warns about poor elements.
The partitioning of the parts can reduce the geometry complexity and thus improving the meshing process. Sometimes abaqus internally create nodes and they could be the source of distorted elements. By ignoring these nodes you can improve the mesh quality significantly. To do this go to Tools\Virtual Topology\Ignore Entities.

No valid radiation output requests have been generated. This may be because no valid cavities exist in the model.
Is it a heat transfer solver? You should check the interactions and you mentioned correctly, it is due to lack of defined cavity. If you have 2 parts with contacting surfaces, you would need to define an open cavity so that the surface from your 1st part radiates to the free surface of the other part. I hope this help.
