Hello: Can anyone pls help me to identify an available data set on prostate cancer and birth characteristics (gestational age, birth weight, birth length, time to puberty etc)?
If you find any association between birth characteristics and prostate cancer , it will be serendipitous. I suggest you do some reading of the literature by Michio Kushi and Macrobiotics. Diet , exercise, life style, genetics and stress levels are associated with cancers , not birth characteristics. Thats why the field of obstetrics can do such disasterous things to newborns, like cesareans, vacuum, forceps, inductions, epidurals, etc and not see any long term effects. There was for a short time , a body of literature trying to show that the Vitamin K shot was causing childhood cancer, but it didnt pan out. The body changes every cell in the body every 7 years. Prostate cancer is caused by later effects, nothing to do with the birth. No possible way that prostate cancer begins at birth. But birth does have many long reaching effects.
