i am getting a pop up message like " Error dark measurement,value>10%, use basic correction" while doing spectral scan between 200-700 nm with 10 nm interval. both the sample port and reference port are distilled water. i got this message while doing the referencing step. can anybody help?

You can try to rectify by taking below precautions:
1. Make sure that your cuvettes are clean and transparent. (Use gloves while handling cuvettes)
2. Use fresh Milli Q water.
3. Error due to 10% transmission might be due to interruption in the path length, kindly check cleanliness of chamber and verify whether the transmission is 100% with empty chamber.
If still problem persist better to contact service engineer to verify source lamp and etc
