Hi, we are wondering about the HSV1 virus in human tissue. We want to perform in situ sequencing with this tissue, but we are not experienced with the virus-infected samples. Is it possible that the virus will get destroyed by fixation with 3.7% PFA for 5 min (followed by ethanol series)? We are asking not only to know how dangerous is it for people, but also for the biosafety level in the lab. Thank you for your reply.
