Hello :) I have the Abaqus CAE student version for Windows recently. My problem is: Abaqus does not write the .jnl and .rpy files automatically during a session as I am used to from the Linux version. (I looked into all possible directories ( temp, …), even though it should be in the working directory.) How can I fix that? Thank you for your help! Jana

I found another way to extract the python commands for every Action from Abaqus that also works with the student License:
File > Macro Manager > Create
The commands are written in abaqusMacros.py :)
This issue may exist because of the "student license". In the following link a similar problem is reported:

As far I know, the student version does not generate .jnl files. It is one of the limitations that comes with the Student Licence.
