A large percentage of doctoral students do not make it to the end. What in your mind makes a doctoral experience successful; what are some strategies that doctoral students can employ to be considered successful?
Do you feel more empowered with both self and other awareness? What hindrances are intentionally impeding your progression from finishing? And finally, we must never stop, or give up to adversity...how well do a doctoral student receive feedback? Incremental addition of new knowledge to the existing body of knowledge in the respective discipline.It could also be validation of existing knowledge . Filling the knowledge gaps would be the ultimate contribution of any doctoral student.
Research topic or area that resonates with the scholar's passion or his/her experiences (though not completely). But some may say that if you follow your passion or attempt to research into your experiences, the entire research may be subjective. However, it will lead to success and rate of drop-outs will be less.
Secondly, the rapport between the scholar and the guide and the frequency matching.
Thirdly, the inner drive to bring out scholastic piece of work which eventually would lead to PhD.
