Before purification, wash the storage solution (ethanol 20%) with 5CV of water before equilibrating it in your buffer. After purification : wash it with 5CV of water and >5CV ethanol 20%; and store it @4°C. (you can find these information and more on the cityva website if you search the handbook of your column).
