You can simply use (Named expression in fluent), and write the function of your interest, and follow the syntax and units and give it any name.

Then in the cell zone conditions, select the zone where which you need to apply heat generation, and check the box of (Source terms), then navigate source terms tab, Edit the number of energy sources to be (1), on the right to fx please select expressions from the drop down menu, and just write the name of the created new expression, then apply.
