I'm trying to modify Usercreep.F to use a creep model from API-579. This creep model requires principal stresses in the calculation of the creep strain rate. The Usercreep.F example only shows equivalent stresses and hydrostatic stresses as available inputs.
How do I use principal stresses in this function? Do I need to first save the principal stresses in a user variable and reference that from within the function?
I have been stuck on this for quite some time, and would greatly appreciate any help!

You can use in your routine this function to get stresses:
call get_ElmData ('SIG', elemId, kMatPoint, nstresscomp, stress)
Thus the data will be stored in 'nstresscomp', and array 'stress', so don't forget to define them.
