I am doing a project on Acquisition and Tracking of Galileo E1 signal.
I am collecting a raw data using USRP front end and GNURadio. my data is a complex baseband signal.
I have done acquisition with this data but I couldn't find enough help for the tracking using complex baseband signal. Most of the people are doing with real signal at intermediate frequency as an input.
Now I need to know that type of changes do I need to make for tracking the signal using this complex baseband signal instead of real signal at intermediate frequency?

There is a carrier phase difference between the incoming signal and the local carrier replica. So it is necessary to perform I/Q acquisition and tracking to reduce the effect of carrier phase difference. The signal for tracking is complex baseband signal. When the tracking loop is stably working, the signal energy will mainly concentrate on the I channel.

My answer came late but it may help other researchers if you already solved your problem, the phase locked loop that is used for tracking of the received carrier signal can be made with fif= 0Hz. You can use the same circuit for any fif but you have to make fif=0. and the local oscillator will generate df which is the error between the the center frequency of the received base band signal and the locally generated one. The phase locked loop parameters may be changed to match the zero if condition. It is so that the local carrier oscillator will generate exp (-j 2 pi df t +j phi)
