I am having difficulty turning off the D2 lamp in the Shimadzu UV-1800 spectrophotometer. When I turn it off in the PC program, it automatically turns back on when i start recording, no matter the mode. I checked if there is a problem with the method, but all wavelength parametres are set to visible wavelengths. It is very important I turn it off, since I plan on recording something for a longer period of time, and I don't want to waste the D2 lamp.
