I need to convert mesh structure of sandstone obtained from micro-CT raw data to solid geometry, I am trying to do it in COMSOL, but could not do it due to some errors in vertices faces and in meshing. Kindly suggest any other software for generation of solid structure from volume mesh?
The stl file has too many open/free edges. You can try using ANSA to fix the errors first and use Solidworks to convert Stl to Solid Bodies. Also check for model scale before converting the file.

I reckon that the raw output from micro-CT image format are a stack of TIFF (*.tif ) images or NifTi (*.nii) file. If you have access to those files you can start from there to convert the raw source file to stl file first, because the attached stl file has too many errors. Auto fixing in ANSA or using any other preprocessor tools(Commercial or Free) works only upto a certain extent and manually fixing the errors will be time consuming.

Hi Hassan, to compute properties on µCT scans you may want to try also direct numerical numerical solvers on the voxel grid as is available in my company's GeoDict software. Alternatively, it can also produce configurably sized surface meshes from your scan for further use, e.g. in COMSOL.
