All of the alkyd sample from rubber seed oil I have synthesized is always black in colour, such colour is not good for the production of white oil paint. I need help on what to do to achieve good coloured alkyd from rubber seed.
Dear Godfrey Osatohamwen Otabor, brightness is a surface phenomenon, it doesn't depend on the color of the resin. The question is that does this alkyd resin has the ability to spead smoothly once applied on the substrate? You may find black bright coatings. So it is wise to look for conditions leading to good speadability of the resin. My Regards
