Absorbed dose rate in air (or D) was obtained from the formula suggested by UNSCEAR (2000) which uses the activity concentration of U-238, Th-232 and K-40 (high purity germanium detector HPGe).
Ambient dose equivalent rate (ADER or H) comes from measurements using a handheld gamma-ray spectrometer (ATOMTEX AT6102).
I would like to subtract D from ADER.

the equivalent dose [in S(ievert)]) for x- and gamma -rays from absorbed dose [in G(ray)] of 1G is 1S.
So your dose rate for example of 1nG/h has an equivalent dose rate of 1nS/h= 0,001µS/h.

As Gerhard mentioned because you only have gamma radiation and no other types of radiation the conversion factor is equal to 1.
What is the point in subtracting absorbed dose in air from a measured ambient dose equivalent? What is the resulting quantity and how is it used?
Please identify the equation used to calculate absorbed dose in air? Is this from uniform concentration in soil?
How was the dose rate instrument calibrated? Point source? Dose rate measured by GM or NaI? Is GM compensated?
Ambient dose from a point source is different from ambient dose from a uniform ground source.
