Fascia! That's the way you want to go. It influences everything. A great book is Thomas W. Myers Anatomy Trains. Its brilliant - relates to kinesiology and sports, as well as treatment.
I would suggest 'Synergy' by Mark Latash; 'Dynamical Patterns', by Scott Kelso; or 'Information, Natural Law, and the Self-Assembly of Rhythmical Movement' by Peter Kugler and Michael Turvey. The first book would be the simplest of the three.
