I recommend the followings:

1. If please resize your mesh.

2. If you need to define BBT.KL, use BB.A, BB.B, and gamma as well.

3. You can also try using other model, for example, Newton.

I advise you to start by checking the mesh of structure.After look and adapt the model corresponding to your simulation goal what you want as a figure.

problem is solved by remesh the structure and reduce a bias step for cathode and anodes(2) in an initial sweep

This error is most probably due to ill-conditioned linear systems of algebraic equations. This is usually due to the large number of obtuse angles in th mesh of your trapezoidal structure.

I suggest 3 axes to solve this problem:

1- Choose a suitable preconditioner in your solution, e.g., the Jacobi preconditioner

2- Modify (refine) your mesh, specially near edges, to reduce the number of obtuse angles,

3- reduce the bias step, as this will improve the initial solution of each bias and improve the linear system conditioning

The solution of linear systems of systems is limited by conditions.
