I recommend you to use it.

Well, Michael, I have binary decision variables (three in total !) and most of the constraints involve these decision variables.

My optimization problem involve using an instance of the multi commodity flow problem.

The aim is to try to maintain an objective function value optimal or close to optimal as long as possible.

In order to achieve correct values the simulators must take in account the wave speed targeting every particle.

As example, in a electromagnetic simulator, if there is a particle at double distance than other from the transmission font, the delay time to reach the first one time will be double than the second one. If you not take that in account the results will be totally different by changing only the time resolution.

It affect to matlab or any other high or low level lenguage used

You should define the your model type.

We can together sove the governing equation numerically and then simply design the model to obtain the results.
