In simulation of thermal cracking in furnaces it is necessary to couple the furnace (in ANSYS Fluent for example) with a software which simulates the reactor.
In other words, the temperature distribution in Fluent should be used as an input for reactors.
Does any one knows about a software for reactor simulations?

you could use comsol, it is a multi-physic software that indeed have the possibility to simulate oil, petroleum and gas processes (upstream and downstream) and their reactors such as coker

Do you know whether it is possible to couple Fluent with COMSOL? Since it is needed to get the temperature distribution of coils in fluent and feed it as input to COMSOL.

I don’t know, maybe it is possible, cause such process could be done for Matlab, labview, C and C++ for sure (you could use the result of these codes as an input variable), for Fluent I have never heard if it could also be done, however you could look down that in the help or formus of comsol
