I am trying to simulate the mixing of 2 fluids in a microchannel. The velocity plots seems ok , but for the concentration graphs, it seems that mixing occurs in the inlet region and when i change the input parameters, such as flow velocity, concentration and diffusion coefficient, still I get the same results. i am using a two step stationary study, the first step calculates Laminar Flow (spf) and the second step calculates Transport of Diluted Species (tds) coupled with Flow Coupling (fc1).
Dear Hedieh, are you sure about the coupling of spf and tds? more than this, how much is the value of your diffusion coefficient?
Try to firstly evaluate the velocity field, then use in another study or step that solution as an input for the transport problem.
