I am trying to simulate a Bisphenol-A crystallization unit in ASPEN HYSYS. I have used NRTL thermodynamic property package for simulating other processes (such as synthesis of the compound).However, whenever I try to insert a crystallizer block in the flowsheet, HYSYS does not allow the insertion with a message that "crystallizer is an electrolyte unit operation". When I try to add Electrolyte-OLI package to the simulation, as Bisphenol A is an organic compound not supported by the package, HYSYS gives another error "components not supported by the OLI thermodynamic package". How should I simulate a crystallizer in ASPEN HYSYS for the aforementioned operation?
Finally I modeled the crystallizers as component splitters with manually performed material balances.
