Sometimes for writing the references one requires to add the link of the source. Some links are very long which reach two lines. my question is how to shorten such links?
Other options, yes, like TINY URL, but I am not sure about the security factor in using those sites. A lot of garbage accumulated in my mobile has been caused by Bitly, which means it is a sanctuary for a great number of spammers and the likes. Personally I won't shorten a link using any of such options because I have no idea what it will do to the system of a user who clicks the link.
Dear Wagdi Rashad Bin-Hady Wagdi and Frederick Clayton Berry ,
If I am not mistaken, google-url.com is actually NOT a Google website, but a website that uses the name to, I guess, catch more attention. Given this, and that even their "Terms and Conditions" information page is empty, I would be careful when using it.
An alternative I can recommend you is https://bitly.com/
It's an option that has been working for years now and their policies, if you are interested, are clear stated.
As for its use, you only need to copy the website you want to shorten in a box, click "Shorten", and automatically you obtain a permanent short link to the address.
There are problably other options, but I hope it helps.
