I am trying to design a 2.45GHz U-slot patch antenna using a substrate of dielectric constant 2.2 and a thickness of 3.175mm on ANSYS. I have used the formulas provided in the IEEE Transaction research paper (attached) and calculated the dimensions. The problem is that the frequency band is shifted 2GHz to the left (refer to image). I have run parametric simulations changing the slot's width, position, length, and probe feed position. The resonant band is always at least 1.5GHz away. Please advise on how to shift the frequency band leftwards.
for the shift of the resonance frequency, the rule is as follows it is necessary to modify the size of the radiating element which is the patch by reducing its size the resonance frequency moves to the right and the opposite, and concerning the slot, it is better to see the distribution of the current and to put the slot in the part where there is more concentration of the electric current to disturb it.
