Improve the effectiveness and lower the cost of existing applications: Big data technologies can replace highly-customized, expensive legacy systems with a standard solution that runs on commodity hardware. And because many big data technologies are open source, they can be implemented far more cheaply than proprietary technologies.
Thanks for your contribution. I used the industry market reports of various Consultancies, financial advisories etc. to reach this common definition of Information Technology : refers to the application of business and technical expertise to enable organizations in the creation, management and optimization of or access to information and business processes.
With this I then define "needs for retailers'' in the context of these services to stay competitive in their relative segments.
I have narrowed my 'theory' and concepts to two multiple angles:
1) Buying Purchasing Behavior with a B2B lens
2) Resource Based View (RBV) based on an in-depth analysis of the 'client' firms themselves.
Because of my limited time constraint and 60 page maximum I have decided to go with my first option. Once you fall into the marketing scheme of things, the business phenomenons are easier to confirm thru B2C and rather limited in explanation when it comes to B2B since very much of the organizations and industry cannot be generalized.
I have also thought of a possible cluster analysis, since CSC is new to this industry to then align itself with supplier ecosystem or partner up with a strong competitor in a competitor-cooperation context. There are many ways CSC can 'penetrate' the market but considering the high cost of implementing their services it doesn't make sense to do a predatory pricing approach nor does it make sense for them to loss profits for possible future gains only to show some 'gain' in market share.
More recommendations on scientific articles and theories are still encourage as I still have yet to strengthen my agreement and reach a final conclusion of recommendations.
Thank you for reading and I hope to hear more from the community.
