Hello. I am creating a model simulating a clot being sucked into a catheter in Abaqus. However, the clot is not deforming through the catheter. The clot is larger in diameter than the catheter. I have defined the catheter as a rigid body, and the clot as a deformable-elastic part. I have tried many different load techniques and displacement, but none have enabled the clot to travel through the catheter. I have also defined contact between the parts as frictionless, and applied fixed boundary conditions to the catheter. I would appreciate any advice!

Olivia Vogel If I unerstood correctly, it is axisymmetric analysis. Try to model rounded contact surfaces as in attached picture. Use Abaqus/Explicit.
