I am using the ANSYS 2020 R2 version. I am simulating a transient setup, and I set an autosave. but the solver gives me .cas.h5 and .dat.h5 files instead .cas and .dat format. When I try to load them into a CFD post for post processing in order to make an animation, I get a problem that all saved data files were not read by CFD post and only one saved file is read, not all together.
How to save data files with .dat format instead of .dat.h5 format in transient simulation by ANSYS Fluent autosave option?
What will you suggest?

In Fluent you can change the default format.
File-->Preferences-->Default Format for I/O--->Legacy

I tried this method. Writing (case/data) format problem is solved.
But there is still the problem of reading by CFDPost or Techplot that generate by ANSYS Fluent 2020 R2.
Hi, I have the same problem. But I am unable to find anything useful in preferences in file in Fluent, I am attaching a photo of the same. Please let me know how to resolve it.
