The cellulose solution contains zinc chloride and water, which needs to be removed in order to form a film. However, due to the water absorption of zinc chloride during air drying, the water is difficult to volatilize. What process or solvent can remove water or take away zinc chloride to make the film forming easier.（Before using water bath and alcohol bath, the result is not very ideal）

In this paper, we also used ZnCl2/water to prepare a sollen cellulose solution. You can follow our approach. We report how you can utilize the remaining ZnCl2 to catalyze reactions or obtain flame-retardant films; and also if desired how you can remove remaining zinc chloride impurities via alkaline treatment.
If you aim on assemblying a film I would recommend you a different treatment: 1) Prepare a cellulose film (with water) or use a commercial paper and 2) immerse this one into your ZnCl2 solution (following this paper 10.2524/jtappij.72.1050).
ZnCl2/water treatment is in fact a very old process and so-treated cellulose is referred to vulcanized fiber. BTW cellulose solutions in ZinCl2/water have very interesting properties 10.1002/ange.201902578
