When removing the outlet check valve from the Thermo Horizon LC pump head about 1 mm of the tip stayed in the LC pumpe head. It sits very tight due to the peak seal sticking the fragment to the pump head. Any ideas on how to remove this?

- Perhaps use the pressure of the pump to push it out.
- If the surface is somewhat flat, then you could punch, drill and use an extractor to push it out from the back and remove it.
- Dry the area. Using a metal rod (thin), apply some super glue to the tip of the rod and hold it pressed up against the "stuck" part inside the pump head until the glue dries. Pull the rod up to extract the part (*we sometimes weld screws/bolts to broken parts in order to remove them from tapped holes and the same idea with hot glue or super glue could be used here).
It would help to visualize the stuck part. Can you provide a picture?
Thanks for the kind advice. We got the stuck piece out with a handheld tiny drill and the good eyes of my young colleague. The stuck piece was so small that I could barely see it.
Hi, just want to thank you both bringing up this issue and also for potential solutions! I got the same issue, which happens time by time, on the flow meter of the Ultimate nano-pump, where the line has to be removed and reconnected every time the flow meter is purged (a frequent event). I try to find a drill suitable for this job now. Thank you again!
