I want to know how to remove exfoliated graphene particles after filtering it using filter paper. I had kept the solution (containing electrolyte and suspended graphene particles) for 3 hrs. The floating graphene is filtered using filter paper. After the paper gets dried, it is difficult to remove the graphene particles from the filter paper. Is there any easy way to remove them in which the graphene particles wont be damaged? Or is there any different filter paper grade used for this application? I am using filter paper of size 8-10 micron
I offered you centrifugation, and you again write about filtration. If you see any lumps, wash them off with ethyl alcohol.
ok Yuri Mirgorod . Is it ok if we wash the lumps with De-ionized water or ethyl alcohol is required?
And on washing the particles again, lumps will form.
I want to avoid those lumps.
So I was asking how to avoid those lumps.
To my knowledge, you should try to wash it with ethyl sprout because that solvent exhibits high polarity. That means graphene with active multifunctional groups will be reacted together and removed.
