Does any one knows how do read the dots of scatter plot while studying the gene expression level? Please guide by checking the attached file as a reference.
Please explain further what you mean by "how to read the dots". are you asking for a way to statistically analyse the outcome, distinguish differentially expressed genes from not d. e. genes, or something else entirely?
The more to the left a dot is, the higher expressed is the gene under control conditions, the higher the dot is the higher is the expression of the gene under stress conditions.
Both plots show that there is not much of an effect of the stress condition. A comparison of the two plots is difficult. If the two genotypes should be compared, this should be shon in another plot.
You can also imagine that if control and stress conditions had identical expressions, the dots would lie exactly at a perfect diagonal. The more a dot deviates from the imaginary diagonal upwards along the vertical axis the more the gene was overexpressed under stress compared to the control conditions and vice versa.
