During the seed germination, as the seeds are rich of phenolics and total sugars ants are disturbing the process of germination. Can any one suggest any easy method which will be effect to ants but not to seeds.

Hello, for experimental purpose, you can first treat the seeds with 1% sodium hydroxide for 1 to 2 minutes and germinate the seeds in petri dishes having moist filter paper at the bottom and top of the seeds. Then these germinated seeds can be transferred safely to pots or soil where you want to grow further.
If they are on tables, you could use a range of techniques to prevent them from climbing up the legs (wrap fly-paper around legs, put table legs in bowls of (soapy) water as moats, etc.).
You can use Ant chalks (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ant_chalk). It is easily available and wont interfere with your experiments.

I produce bedding plants on tables protected with water. You have to immerse the table foot on a half- plastic-bottle full of water. You can protect the table foot with plastic. It works. Best regards. If you have to use the ground, use a half-pipe also full of circulating water.
