Dear Team, how to separate ammonium bromide byproduct selectively from water soluble organic product?

We did reaction of alpha-bromo-gamma-butyrolactone with aq. ammonia solution at RT to get alpha-amino-gamma-butyrolactone. Reaction completed on TLC. Water distilled completely but unable to isolate selectively product without ammonium bromide which is a byproduct.
