When is the fungus exposed to hard conditions or exposed to typical conditions?
Aflatoxins are poisonous carcinogens that are produced by certain molds which grow in soil, decaying vegetation, hay, and grains. They are regularly found in improperly stored staple commodities such as cassava, chili peppers, corn, cotton seed, millet, peanuts, rice, sesame seeds, sorghum, sunflower seeds.

It is advisable to use the two methods, to compare in terms of efficiency and accuracy between the two methods.
Do you want test the aflatoxin production of some fungi (Aspergillus) or you want compare just the two methods?
I hope the first one because the second has been already done by several authors!
I want the first way. However, it is recommended that method include the extraction of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2
So I suggest you to test the production on maize kernels.
Bring the humidity of maize kernels at 25%, transfer 20 g in 250 ml flask, sterilize at 121 C for 60 minutes, inoculate with 10 ul of spore suspension, and incubate at 31 C for 7 days. Include a positive control (toxigenic strains) and a negative control (uninoculated).
