Hello everyone.
i've a protien that found in cytosol and mitochondria. the mitochonrial form of this protien is different from cytosolic protien that themRNA of the mitichondrial protien has a additional N-terminal sorting sequence to transport in mitochondria. I feel that the mitochondrial protien has more potent role than cytosolic protien. I want to check it out.
So i want to prevent the sorting of mitochondrial protien to mitochondria. anyone has any idea how i do this.

One simple approach will involve a simple deletion or mutation of the N-terminal mitochondrial targeting sequence (MTS) in the protein and express it in cells. Alternatively, use an inhibitor which prevents mitochondrial targeting of proteins with a consensus MTS.
