There are two proteins X and Y both containing signal peptides. We want to create a fusion protein of X-Y. X will be displayed on the surface so we retained the signal peptide of X. Further, do we need the signal peptide of Y or just clone Y devoid of its signal peptide.

theoretically, if you are fusing the 2 proteins in a single chain, 1 signal peptide is enough, while it is not sure if you would like to co-express as for example happen for mab, where both heavy and light chain are addedd of signal peptides when co-expressed.
Of course in addition to the signal peptide you need at least 1 TM region to anchor the protein to the surface and avoid protein secretion.
Moreover in this way the display is possible but not sure, since it depends to how the 2 domains interact and if the secretion is a bigger and non natural protein is possible or if it will in some way clog the protein secretion system.
