I am trying to obtain the aeroelastic divergence speed of a thin plate in MSC Nastran (flight loads). Is there a way of getting the divergence speed through SOL144 using DIVERG card? When I attempt to run SOL144 I obtain the aerodynamic loads. Does anyone have a good reference/tutorial for studying divergence in MSC Nastran?

You can easily get the divergence speed with the SOL 145. I am also working in the field of Dynamic aeroelastic problems (Flutter). In the SOL 145 output file, check KFREQ=0, that indicated divergence.

Thank you for your reply. So far I have been finding the divergence speed the way you described (through SOL 145). I was just wondering if SOL 144 also gives it.

I have not solved divergence speed using SOL 144. See the attached file, it can be helpful.

You can use both SOL 144 and SOL 145 to solve your problem. But, Generally SOL 144 are used for static aeroelasticity and SOL 145 are used for Flutter Analysis.
