Hello fellow researchers,
I want to simulate subcooled evaporation phenomenon in a large enclosed tank. The working fluid is water and it's subcooled. It won't come to equilibrium since there is venting. At this stage of my research, I am looking for information to understand the dynamics such as heat and mass transfer mechanics and so on. Later, I'd like to come up with an idea to model this in system codes such as RELAP5, MARS-KS etc..
Please let me know if you have any reference and/or idea where to look for.

People use the term subcooled to mean different things. I believe you mean the water is below its saturation/boiling temperature at the pressure of the system. If this is the case, the evaporation will be proportional to the vapor pressure of water at its temperature pressure and the partial pressure of water in the bulk stream.

I did mean the water below its saturation temperature at the pressure of surrounding. Thank you for your answer. I am reviewing Shah's paper at the moment and what he is saying is in parallel with yours.
