I am familiar with WAMIT, but have recently started using AQWA due to the licences available in my new institution.
I am trying to model multiple interacting structures, in particular two heaving hemispheres. The waves are coming along the distance between the two WECs.
I am using AQWA from Workbench. When I look at the results, e.g. RAO, added mass, fluid damping and excitation force, it is clear that both bodies present overlapping curves, which tells me that interactions are not being considered.
I have considered a possible mistake in the system of reference, but the results are identical to the individual hemisphere (i.e. we are not looking at perpendicular waves for two hemispheres). Hence, the actual problem is that the two hemispheres are not interacting.
I checked Section 3.8.1 of the ANSYS AQWA User Guide and the Interacting Structures setting is "All".
Any ideas would else I could try to fix this problem?

The effect of the interaction of two structures also depends on the distance between them and the characteristics of the incident wave.
But in general, try this method: in geometry, turn each structure into two parts, the part below the water surface and the part above the water surface. Then in the setup, to consider the parts in the interaction, select each structure's parts below the water surface. NOT all.
