The simplest answer (coupling Laminar flow, Heat transfer in fluid and Level Set / Phase Field) does not solve. Even with properly defined problem solution does converge to get a phase initialization (for transient with phase initialization study).

from my little experience I can say that you can try fluent for solving this type of problem and hopefully fluent will easily solve this with good convergence. I tried many problem in comsol and failed. but fluent easily solved that.

Thank you very much for the suggestion. The problem description provided in the question is a very simplified case of the actual problem I am trying to solve. I need to couple electro-chemistry and phase change in my actual problem which is much more complex. My understanding is COMSOL is a better choice for coupling this many physics in a single problem.

Let me know if you face any problem. My students are working on this. Anyway, if you put any heat source term, there must be a sink term( cold wall) too. Otherwise it will not converge.
