Hi everyone,

I have the same question, I wan to measure the water contact angle of PE plastic bag, however, due to its structure, the surface is not flat enough so how the water contact angle can be measured. I wonder how other papers measure it and report the results in their paper when it is not possible.

Another question is that, after UV treatment of Polystyrene foam, I am expected to get more hydrophilic surface compared to untreated samples. However, the UV-treated polystyrene foam samples became more hydrophobic than even untreated polystyrene. How this can be explained?

Also, from 8 replication of UV treated polystyrene foam, every time I measure the contact angle I got a new result in each sample. In other words, each piece of polystyrene foam had different value with significant difference with each the other one while they are all treated in the same condition.

Any help would be appreciated.
