When we need to transfect large amount of cells, we use polyethylenimine (PEI). It is much cheaper than any other transfection reagent.

Attached is a typical protocol for PEI transfection of HEK293T cells for 6 well plates to 15 cm dishes.

@ For HEK293 transfection, I used and recommend to use Flp-In T-Rex-293 cells with the assistance of Flp-In system (Invetrogen). I used the LyoVec (Invetrogen, Lyec_1) reagent. If you need any help regarding human cells transfection and protein extraction, do not hesitate to contact me.
