I am modelling a concrete and a FRP that are connected together with a cohesive element on abaqus and my aim is to study the debonding. The weird thing that is happening that instead of the cohesive try to prevent the separation and eventually breaks it just elongates is shown in the figure below what could be a solution to this problem?
In Abaqus, failed elements are not automaticlly removed from the plot in the postprocessor. Use the display manager to remove failed elements depending on the result value.
I don't want to remove the failed elements, I want to see how it deforms and it is not deforming like I want it to
The cohesive element should allows debonding of CFRP, if the model dose not have such element, CFRP will deformed following the strengthened structural member without debonding.
