How to lower the detection limit of an immunochromatogrpahy strip?

hi here, i am currently developing an IC strip for the detection of Sterigmatocystin. am using Gold nanoparticles as a reporter. the LOD is very high for it to be useful for me, tI have tried lowering the concentration of the capture antigen and the antibody but yet still the LOD is in the ppm levels. any suggestion to get it down?
