Aedes complete its meal by biting 3-4 people available nearby due to day biting habit when its host is alert. therefore to complete one meal it might feed all the members in an house if a case has appeared from one house and non other member gets fever in consecutive days then one can say imported case not bitten in house or no infected mosquito is available where as if there is difference of 15-20 day of appearance of case (mosquito incubation period + human incubation period ) the the appeared case was imported and the cases coming after 15-20 days could be locally transmitted .
It is true that it is very difficult for a host to recall where did he get biting of the Aedes , for proper transmission check, the house of dengue case should have all anti adult and anti larval measures to check further transmission
