I used two M2 marker (CD206 and CD163) to identify the M2 macrophage but they had quite different expression patterns in histology. Are there different expression spectrums between M2 markers?
Does the two markers help really? The concept of M1 and M2 was old school of thought i think so. If you are into tumour associated macrophages (TAM) i think the diversity is much more than whats thought previously..
