A predatory journal usually does not publish in the e-mail it sends the fact that it charges publication fees and that it is an open access journal' and these facts are sometimes missing even from its web site. A good way to identify a predatory journal is to check its web site, its editorial board, and if the editorial board includes a famous figure, you could check with this famous person if he knows that he is included in this journal's editorial board.
