I am preparing enriched CGN cultures, meaning I have a mixed population of neuronal cells but with the majority being Granule cells. Our automatic cell counter was not getting accurate numbers due to the mixed cell size and I am currently attempting to do my counts using a manual hemocytometer.

I have had difficulty identifying the granule cells using the hemocytometer so far and I am looking for any advice or recommendations for identifying the granule cells vs debris vs. other cells. I would also greatly appreciate any pictures of granule cells in a hemocytometer if anyone has those as well.
