i try to immerse SnO2 thin film cotaed-FTO substrate on aqueous solutions (DI water, ethanol and small amount of HCl ), and the experiment is carried out inside lab oven with the temperature of 90 degree celcius using specimen bottle (low form). but, each time at the end of process, SnO2 is removed from FTO surface. Anyone can teach or give me suggestion? thanks
May be heat in high boiling liquid with precursor to allow directional growth
Pawan Kumar Khanna , thank you for your useful suggestion. I will try to increase the temperature up to 180 degree celcius.
May be high acidic condition (pH = 1.5) and high temperature also give growth of SnO2.
Or please try with SnCl4.5H2O, and ammonium fluoride dissolve in DI water. Then add 2-propanol. Then do hydrothermal at 150 °C for 5h.
